This Windscreen and Storage Case came with my wife's new xxxx BMW Z3 when she purchased it from Thompson BMW in Doylestown Pa. It was used only once, to "check it out". But we quickly dis it was not an accessory we wished to use. So back in the case it went, and straight into the garage. And that is where it stayed until I dis it yesterday while doing some Spring cleaning. Unfortunately the car was used as a trade-in over 10 years ago.
About the Windscreen:
The windscreen itself is in perfect condition. The case has two faint stains on it. If I recall correctly, the Windscreen snaps in quite easily. It has a 2nd mesh screen that pulls out to cover the compartment opening where the roof is stored while it is down, for a much more sleeker look. The storage case has a zipper that runs the entire length of the case, making it very easy to access and replace. The Windscreen might be usable with other model/year Z3's, but you will have to do your own research to confirm that possibility.
I intentionally included "factory issued" in the description. Here is why. While I searched for similar products on-line so I could gauge its current value, I found a lot of cheap, ugly knock-offs. This product is made by BMW. Therefore it is a quality product and warrants the price.
