Acting as an Individual Contributor or as a manager of a small team supporting EC and EC+1, the Talent Advisor will assist in building, strengthening, and expanding key businesses by attracting talent. He/she will ensure the ongoing and future organizational talent demands are met while ensuring employment policies and practices are compatible with all federal and state employment laws. He/she will provide leadership of cross:functional and cross:divisional teams to implement and/or manage an array of staffing initiatives, policies or programs, ensuring stakeholder participation, support and pull:through.
Business Strategy and Needs identification:
- Identify how changes in business strategy impact talent planning needs.
- Help hiring managers navigate trade:offs between market, speed and quality while setting clear expectations on service level agreements.
- Provide advice and counsel to hiring managers on what skills or characteristics matter most when they evaluate candidates, establishing best selection process in terms of strategy, tools and participant experience.
Relationship Management:
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure they prioritize position requirements based on business need.
- Assess and advise on the talent and business risks and benefits of hiring specific candidates.
- Challenge hiring managers about talent assumptions.
In:Market Thinking:
- Educate hiring managers on trends in the labor market.
- Use competitive analysis to understand hiring needs and recruiting practices of talent competitors.
- Understand the availability of talent across critical talent segments.
Sourcing Partnership:
- Build collaborative partnerships with the business and the broader executive recruiting and sourcing teams to engage in the proactive sourcing and successful identification of top talent for job openings within a business unit or units and/or specific functions; facilitate prioritization of talent needs.
- Suggest and execute innovative, effective and efficient recruitment strategies needed to acquire top executive talent, including diverse and military job seekers.
- Manage relationships with vendors to facilitate talent needs.
- Conduct full in:depth Interviews with qualified executive level applicants to determine level of qualification, and identify top talent for open positions.
- Deliver slates of qualified and diverse talent for current and anticipated executive roles in the organization.
Business Acumen:
- Have a deep understanding of strategic business priorities and how the organization achieves business goals and profitability.
- Communicate in the "language" of the business.
- Make recommendations based on how positions create value to the business.
Communication and Reporting:
- Respond to talent acquisition needs and inquiries from HRBPs, business leaders, hiring managers, etc. with firm:specific business knowledge.
- Provide business leaders, hiring managers, and and human resources business partners with accurate and timely updates on applicant activity; track talent acquisition metrics and report trends and issues to TA
