Basic Function
Generates top line revenue through outside direct sales and by identifying, developing, and maintaining property sales and marketing objectives primarily
Overall Function
Reports to the Director of Sales of the Best Western Plus The Inn at King of Prussia.
Responsible for maximizing the room occupancy and the utilization of the meeting rooms generating revenue that meets or exceeds budget expectations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing
:
Solicits, negotiates, and books new and repeat business through various efforts (via aggressive prospecting including outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, property tours, networking, etc.) Agree upon the terms and conditions of the contract with a client and prepare the paperwork required. Ensures excellent on:site execution through close coordination with the other hotel departments.

Develops on:going relationship with Best Western Worldwide Sales and strong customer relations through frequent communication, professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interactions.

Responsibilities include focus on wedding, reunion, sports team:related room blocks, tour and travel and local universities
:
Maintains well:documented, accurate, organized and up:to:date file management system utilizing the SalesPro system in order to service the client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.
:
Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system (utilizing the SalesPro system), including dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account services and increased revenues.
:
Returns all phone calls within same business day standards and demonstrate timeliness in getting proposals to client
:
Supports the Director of Sales in the annual preparation the Sales and Marketing Plan
:
Conducts research, surveys, personal investigation and studies marketplace and territory in order to effectively capitalize on the hotels strengths and competitors weaknesses and capabilities in the market.
:
Maintains active involvement in assigned community and industry organizations.
Event Execution
:
Meets with department heads to plan and coordinate efforts for scheduled functions to ensure the efficient execution of the event and that it adheres to the clients guidelines and expectations. Informs staff of special requests or changes that will affect either the catering or service for the event.
:
Requisitions or obtains caterer, equipment and supplies needed for each function, ensuring clients specifications are met.
:
Monitors and controls catering budget, coordinating caterers to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while providing quality guest services.
:
Executes the event and works to exceed clients expectations the day:of the event.

Direction is given and work reviewed by Director of Sales

Entry Level Qualifications
:
Bachelors degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of two years of hospitality experience desirable.

Excellent communication skills and strong revenue management skills.
:
Must be innovative and self:motivated.
:
Must be able to work independently and have the drive to succeed.
:
Knowledge of local competition and general industry trends.
