As we continue to enhance our strong leadership position in the real estate industry, we are seeking a qualified professional to join our Transaction Real Estate team as a staff member in our New York office.
Responsibilities
A Transaction Real Estate staff professional typically serves as a member of multiple client engagement teams, where the individual will assist with real estate advisory engagements within a fast-paced, service-oriented business environment. Engagements include financial analyses, cash flow modeling and reviews, analytical model reviews, loan portfolio underwriting, market due diligence, tangible and intangible asset valuations, real estate appraisal reviews, and other general real estate advisory services. We are involved in the analysis of a variety of property types including multi-family residential, office, retail, hotel, warehouse, industrial, mixed-use, and special-use properties.
Specific responsibilities will include financial and cash flow modeling, market information research, analysis of real estate documents (including site/building plans, leases, appraisals, and mortgage underwriting/lending documents), performing market studies, and report writing. The experienced staff member will have the opportunity to participate in sales/marketing pursuit opportunities, interface directly with clients, and manage junior staff.
To qualify, candidate must have:
* a bachelor&#xxxx;s degree in business, finance, real estate or accounting, a masters degree preferred
* approximately 1-3 years related work experience
* on-going education and curriculum towards obtaining professional accreditations such as the MAI and CPA, etc. is considered a plus
* a background in commercial real estate related to loan underwriting, acquisition due diligence, asset management, finance, market research or real estate valuation is required
* strong analytical skills
* proficiency with Excel and Word, along with working experience using Argus, PowerPoint, and Access

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and leadership abilities including staff supervisory experience and client services skills are also important.
