This role is responsible to develop and lead the Technical Operations Technical Product Stream that supports Large Molecule API manufacturing organization both internally and externally. In this role the incumbent is directing an overall strategy for the development of standard manufacturing practice, driving new product introduction, and provide market product support to the platform. Overall the technical platform owns reliability and sustainability of our plants and products. The group will partner with R and D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory to ensure processes are flawlessly introduced across both the internal and external network and that models are developed and utilized to ensure both introduction and ongoing production consistently satisfies quality and regulatory needs. The group will provide manufacturing process related technical input to all facility designs and upgrades. The incumbent will be a member of the TRB (Technical Review Board), the CM and C Council and will ensure readiness of manufacturing sites consistent with the Design to Value initiative. The value of current product portfolio is greater than 10 B and capital greater than 300M.
Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead a group of 7:15 engineers and scientists who partner with platform leads, external supply integration, R and D, regulatory and quality to develop and implement a strategy for standard manufacturing practice, new product introduction and marketed product support across large molecule product portfolio at both internal and external manufacturing sites. Responsible to assure ensure manufacturing site readiness, reliability and sustainability. The group will lead the technical evaluation of all work proposed as part of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) process.
Accountable technical lead for both development of quality by design approaches and sustainability efforts including associated systems required to be implemented across the portfolio. This will include standard manufacturing systems and embedded advanced analytic techniques to assure at line control.
Strengthen external network of academic, regulatory, professional and cross company alliances to enhance standardization of current approaches and introduction of new technologies across platforms and industry.
