Janssen Biotech Inc., a member of the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Maintenance Professional Intern to be located in Malvern, PA
The Intern will function as a member of the Maintenance team within Janssen Biotech, Inc. The technician will ensure compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency and preventive maintenance in support of the Janssen, Malvern biologics pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, for both GMP process and Utilities equipment systems. Execute predictive, corrective and preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems in area of expertise and one or more additional maintenance disciplines (eg. Mechanical and Shop, Utilities, HVAC, Instrumentation, Electrical)
Depending on the Interns experience, the areas that they may have exposure to are:
MECHANICAL TECHS
: Maintain, troubleshoot and repair process and non:process equipment in the manufacturing core and shops
INSTRUMENTATION TECHS
: Execute calibration and repair of instrumentation used in cGMP and non GMP systems and maintain all calibration standards
: Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides repairs to equipment, instruments and instrumentation systems as assigned
: Working knowledge of equipment including, but not limited to PLC control systems and HMI's
: Familiarity with electrical theory, thermal energy principals, mechanical maintenance techniques, and electromechanical theory.
OPERATING ENGINEER
: Operate and maintain the utility plant, including, but not limited to: Boilers, Chillers, Reverse Osmosis, WFI Stills, Air Compressors, Air Handling Units, Refrigeration, Waste Neutralization, Clean:In:Place systems, handle certain chemicals as needed, and are the first responders to off:shift manufacturing and electrical systems problems.
: Interpret and respond to Alarms as needed
ELECTRICIAN
: Execute predictive and preventive maintenance on GMP and non:GMP electrical devices, circuits, and switchgear.
: Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides repairs as assigned to electrical systems, controls, motors and emergency generators with voltages up to 600 volts
: Perform conduit and wiring installation per NEC as assigned
: Operate, monitor, and maintain emergency generators, switchgear, powered lift machines.
Qualifications
Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) at Williamson Trade School in pursuit of an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree is required. Availability to work full:time (40 hours/week) during the Summer (June : August xxxx) is required. We should mention that some off:shift work may be required. Completion of at least freshman year of undergraduate program is required. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are desired.
Intern positions are located in Malvern, PA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1:B status) now or in the future.
