The room I am renting out is currently my office/guest room which I am converting to rent out. It's a cute room. (The fifth room, by the way, was converted into a overstuffed closet.) I am not making any changes until I have selected the new roomie. We will make changes together based on your needs. There are two full bathrooms. I have two dogs, the big one is the size of a cat. They were from the same litter, and are very friendly, loving to be pet. I've had a few people rent rooms from me over the years. I'm still in touch with a couple and can give you references if you like. One wanted to rent from me again years later when she moved back to the city, but I had a tenant. Germantown is likely the greenest part of the city. Penn Knox is one of the most historical and beautiful sections. The neighbors are friendly. Historic Germantown is home to 16 historic sites you may want to visit while you are here. There is also a great walk, run, bike park nearby, the Wissahickon. My favorite thrift shop is right up the street - one block away! A great place to visit is Maplewood Mall, a three block walk from the house, which has two restaurants, a health store and a great gallery, Imperfect Gallery, which regularly features lively events and dancing in addition to great art. Germantown provides easy access to center city and more with two drives and the expressway very close, four regional rail stations including Wayne Junction, which hosts several trains, and buses going to various parts of the city. It's easy to have a car here at my house, parking is no problem.
