PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP's Global Insurance and Risk Management organization oversees all of SAP's worldwide business insurance and risk financing activities and provides risk management and insurance support. Its responsibilities include the development and implementation of SAP's risk financing strategy, the purchase and administration of global and local insurance programs, claims handling and management of supplier relationships. The team provides best practices as a service organization for SAP SE and its subsidiaries worldwide.
To enhance and support the team, we are looking for an experienced specialist in commercial insurance, with a broad understanding of various insurance lines and local as well as international programs, including property, liability, automobile and workers compensation, as well as financial lines and technology professional liability. The position will report to the Head of Global Insurance Risk Management.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
:Manage and administer global and local property/casualty as well as technology professional liability insurance programs, including primary and excess policy reviews, negotiating and managing claims
:Hold negotiations with international insurance companies and brokers
:Supervise and monitor external insurance brokers
:Consult subsidiaries in defined territories, other corporate functions and management on risk and insurance issues, including customer, supplier and partner contract reviews
:Engage in insurance controlling and reporting, premium allocations and invoicing processes
:Engage in specific projects with insurance risk management relevance (such as M and A due diligence, assessment of alternative risk financing solutions, evolving risk assessments)
:Provide management with reports and recommendations concerning insurance and risk related data
WORK EXPERIENCE
:Minimum 5 :7 years' experience in working in an international insurance environment, either in global industrial firm, insurance company or broker house
:Experience working in or supporting large global technology firms
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
:Bachelor/University degree in Finance, Law, Insurance and Risk Management or comparable degree
:Fluent in English, both written and oral, comfortable in working in an international environment
:Well:founded knowledge of all major property and casualty lines as well as international insurance program matters, including technology professional liability and/or cyber insurance
:Comfortable with key concepts of finance and accounting
:Interest in/basic knowledge of software and technology industry
:Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills; demonstrates critical thinking and decision making ability
:Self:starting and proactive; with proven attention to detail
:Strong organization and communication as well as interpersonal skills; high team orientation and customer focus
:Able to build and maintain internal and external network and work in a cross functional environment
:Demonstrates ability to build consensus and effect change through influence
