Job Description: Job Description - Technical Consultant PICS, Inc. is a growing software development organization who is seeking motivated individuals to join our technical support team. Responsibilities include managing all aspects relating to Progress based systems (both Windows and UNIX/Linux) operating both QAD and PICS software products. Other responsibilities include both remote and on-site installations of PICS and other software products that PICS markets, deploys and supports. The Technical Consultant will also assume some project management roles for projects that are primarily technical in nature; ie hardware/software technical upgrades, disaster recovery projects, new hardware and software implementations including system architect responsibilities, etc. Desired Skills and Experience Education Level: Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience Demonstrated success as a technical liaison with 3rd party partners to successfully address customer questions and issues Working knowledge of multiple Operating Systems such as Windows/Linux (Centos/RedHat/SUSE) and the many variations of UNIX Perform remote and on-site installation of applications such as Progress OpenEdge, DocLib, Artsyl, QAD, QXtend, .NetUI, App Servers, Apache Tomcat, Web Speed, FormTrap, etc. Experience with OCR, Intelligent Capture, Document Scanning and Document Management solutions Management and utilization of PICS Total Software Management System deployment, Roundtable Software release creation and installation Compensation/Benefits Annual salary commensurate with skills and experience. 100% medical 15 days PTO 401K plan with 3% Contribution
